PART OF A PROJECT

What a surprise! A moment of honour, I would say! I've met one of my best friends at university this morning. She was having lunch at a restaurant at about half past one, when I noticed she was there. It was just unbeliavable! I had just asked for the bill when I saw her, she was behind me. Incredible, but true! One of those extraordinay moments when you ask yourself, "Am I dreaming?"
I waved at her, and she answered with a nice smile.  How wonderful!!! She recognized me. We kissed each other and started to ask questions about this and that. We talked about many things, and then, we decided to have a coffee together. She told me about one of her last projects. It was about supporting African children, helping them to cope with their daily routine, giving them the best ideas in order to improve their living conditions in many ways. "What to do and how to do it"  is  actually the main idea.

When I was learning to be a teacher, I really learnt a lot about cooperating and I felt I could be part of a project.  After 25 years of teaching I can say that I still try hard to get that aim. No matter what happens, no matter what silly comments "some intellectuals" make that I would keep on saying , "Go on! You're doing your best! " Everyday's work is definitely necessary to help all the  students improve their level of English in order to make them feel comfortable as their self-steem goes up "in crescendo". And I think it's time to say, "Okay. I believe in what I do,  and how I do it . The project itself is what I wanted , and that's all!"
