Students at first grade in Secondary this year are going to have fun with English as they will be taken part in a MUSICAL TALENT CONTEST!
The first unit is all about MUSIC so the students will identify musical genres like Reggae, Pop, Opera, Rock, Jazz, Rap, Country, Heavy Metal, etc.;
and they will learn the musical elements in a song, e.g. lyrics, rhythm, melody; tempo,...so that they will be able to add some elements to different songs given by their teacher and, of course they will bereflecting on language while describing and classifying world instruments.
They will also create a song adapting it to a chosen genre or style. At the end of the unit, they will be planning their own project to perform it to their classmates in the Final Musical Talent Show.
